Lets Talk About Web Fonts

Webfonts like Google Web Fonts are made for quick and easy to use for everyone, including professional designers and developers. Its fast, reliable and open source, this means that you are free to share your favorites with friends and colleagues. Google’s goal is to create a directory of core web fonts for the world and to provide an API service so that anyone can bring quality typography to their webpages. But now the directory is overrun with fonts of dubious quality, which means it can be hard to pick the right one. So here are some recommendation from us.

The Right Font in the Right Situation

Some fonts will do their job in any situation, even you want a big robust headline, or a tiny readable content. Most Google Web Fonts are not like these, but we can find some, like:

Open Sans

In other ways there are Web Fonts that work only in special cases. Nothing wrong with that in itself, just make sure you use them appropriately.

For Big Headlines

Abril FatFace
Gentium (+ for quotes)
Vollkorn (+ for quotes)

For Content

Droid Sans
PT Sans

Finally, here are some font combination that we recommend also in our products.

Google Font: Abril Fatface (Title) + Open Sans (Content)

Google Font: Arvo (Title) + Droid Sans (Content)

Google Font: Abel (Title) + PT Sans (Content)

Google Font: Bevan

Google Font: Gentium (Quote From) + Vollkorn (Content)
