Summary of updates and news of the Universal Ajax Live Search

We haven't posted any news from the Universal Ajax Live Search in this year, yet. Of course this doesn't mean that there weren't any new feature about it, or the development stopping. Moreover, I have to say, there wasn't any intergalactic attack near the Offlajn's office, what can be sad news for the Sci-Fi fans. But now we would like to give you the information about what we have done with this extension, and also some leaked information, but talk about it later...

Keyword suggestion

We already have a post about this feature, but from our experience, we need to talk about a bit more. There are some things, what you should do, if you would like to use this feature.
To make the live search capable to suggest search expressions, keyword collection needed. We use the default Joomla search component keyword gathering feature, what is switched off by default, so you need to enable it in Components/Search admin menu item. Then click on the option, a popup will shown, and the first parameter should be set to on, as on the image below:

Then you also need to switch this feature on in the Live Search settings. So go to module manager, select your Live Search module. Open the Basic Options and set the show keyword suggestion parameter to on. Note that you only switch this parameter to on, if you have previously enabled the keyword gathering, otherwise keep this parameter off.

Joomla 3.0 support...

Maybe many of you know this, but this was also in the begining of this year. So now the Search is support Joomla from version 1.5.x to 3.x. This is great, isn't it?

Ssssshhhh....Maybe we should talk about this in silence...but...I have some information from the latest feature of the Live Search, what is under development, but will be released soon. You know I went back to the office last night, and switched on the developer computer....What I've seen is hard to describe, something very new, very awesome feature...what will extremly change the searching function in web pages with a very nice and fancy design...I don't know what to say, it is incredible. Now I can't tell you more, but don't worry you shouldn't wait so much time to can get it!
