The Vertical Menu use the core Joomla 'JSEARCH_FILTER_LABEL' language constant for the filter text. You can modify it by the Extensions/Language(s) menu item of the backend under the Overrides tab, by add a new entry, or directly in the main language file (in case of English): language/en-GB/en-GB.ini.
